Forever Freshmen/Phase 10

Flash back to the summer of 2009 when I met an incoming group of freshmen. Some of my favorite people had just graduated from high school, and I didn't know if I would ever be as close to another group again. Flash forward to 2013 and I don't know if I will ever be as close to another group as I have these people! Some of my greatest memories come with these people. I have had the privilege to coach them in basketball and softball. They hold a special place in my heart because they were my first group of softball freshmen that I coached for all four years. Some great memories!

So thankful for the things these girls have taught me over the years and for the friendships that I have with them!

One tradition that was made throughout the years was playing Phase 10. When they were sophomores, they consistently came to my room almost every day for lunch. We made it a tradition to play Phase 10 each day. Sometimes games would go on for weeks, but we would play a round or two each day. Right before they graduated, we had one final Phase 10 game.

SydB won for the first time ever! :)
Hannah came LATE and left EARLY, thus the sign! :) The music signs indicate that the phrase should be sung (courtesy of Shawn and Gus from Psych).
Such a fun time! I will miss seeing these girls every day! I will also miss playing Phase 10! Guess we'll have to start a post high-school tradition!
